Today was a culmination of many things. I finished this project, it is, among many things in my life lately, a bit of  a cluster, much grander in vision, much less time or empathy for execution, so the end result, while beautiful, may be not my best effort. But, I guess, as a book has told me lately, shipped. Finished. Executed. I am not sure how I feel about this, since mainly it's a metaphor for much else in my life. All of it. I am in the course of changing things, corrections if you will. Editing my life to look more like my vision and less like someone else's. This, is a step, for the first time in some years, in the direction of my own dreams. Baby steps, until you reach the fin line.

Ribbon for my efforts

I feel absolutely lame. I have been spending a ton of time outside of my house and not really been focusing enough on me, my art and my space. Tonight is more of the rule than an exception. Late night, loving hanging out with friends, but I think it's time for me to take some reflective me time. I made this quick wrap bracelete out of printed satin ribbon and metal grommets. It's a bit of a reminder that I am making a good effort, but green ribbons aren't signifiers of coming in first place.

The Death of Kombucha or a Look at the Iterations of My Life

It's an interesting reflection on life and how I am amazingly too busy for my own. I killed my batch of kombucha, let it sit too long, and it got infested with baby fruit flies. G.R.O.S.S.

That being stated, I have completed ONE of the many rings I have made in my efforts to have the project that I committed to almost a month ago finished. Here is that one ring. I have many parts, but they need to be whole. I will post the collection when I am finished.

Last One

I know, absolutely bo-ring. (there was a pun, I took it.) But, tomorrow, it will be better, the patience will pay off and you will get to see the sum as a whole.
